HARLEM, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A 58-year-old man was stabbed to death during a domestic incident in the suspect's apartment in a Harlem NYCHA complex, police said Wednesday.
Lamont Oliphant, 24, is accused of stabbing the victim in the neck at the Rengel Houses at 159-14 Harlem River Dr. at around 11:45 p.m. on July 20, according to the NYPD.
The man was rushed to the hospital and died from his injuries on Friday, police said. The medical examiner ruled the incident a homicide.
Oliphant was arrested and charged with murder and assault, according to court records. His arraignment was pending Wednesday.
The relationship between the victim and the suspect is unclear.
Oliphant's lawyer could not be reached on Wednesday.
