LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Lubbock Police Department issued a press release regarding an overnight pursuit on Wednesday.

(LUBBOCK, TX) – The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a collision in west Lubbock following an overnight pursuit.

At 12:16 a.m. on August 6th, an LPD officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a pick-up truck driven by 23-year-old Isreal Edwards, near the 200 block of Slide Road. Edwards refused to stop the vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit to the 2500 block of Urbana Place before crashing the truck into a fence, hitting a gas line in the process.
