SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Angelo State University (ASU) has officially appointed and announced who they have as their first Shotgun Sports coach.

Recent member of the USA Shooting National Team Ida Brown has been appointed as the first full-time professional head coach for the ASU Shotgun Sports Team reported by ASU through a press release.

Brown just served as an assistant coach for the Shooting Sports Team at Iowa Central Community College. That team finished among the top five in seven different categories at the 2025 ACUI/SCTP National Championships in March. She also enjoyed her own successful collegiate shooting career at Hillsdale College in Michigan as part of the team that won 2021 and 2024 ACUI national championships stated the press release.
