SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A San Angelo man's car caught fire in the Academy parking lot off of Sunset Drive earlier this evening.

The man, named Levi Oliver, bought the car a couple of weeks ago and only knew that the car was on fire after leaving the store.

"I tried to take it to a few mechanics and nobody really knew what to do with it," Oliver said. "It's been smoking a little bit, and so I'll drive it for a little, and then, you know, park it and it will smoke. Then it will cool down, but yeah. I came out and it was on fire."

They employees and police tried to extinguish the flames before the fire department was called. There have been no reports of injuries.
