We’re a few days late, as August is in full swing with the Yankees desperately trying to find their footing in the American League East. As “meh” as July may have been, the month did not come and go without its fair share of defensive highlights. Despite the troubling standings as another summer month passes by, let’s take a look at some Yankees flashing the leather to cleanse the pallet.

July 6th: Belli turns two

Up by a pair of runs late against the Mets at Citi Field, Mark Leiter Jr. squared off with Juan Soto at the plate as the tying run.
