BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Perrysburg shooting that left two dead on Monday was a murder-suicide, according to New York State Police.
The incident occurred in the area of 10996 Whites Drive on Cattaraugus Indian Territory. Police said 18-year-old Tylin Thomas Jr., of Perrysburg, was intoxicated when he used an AK-47 style weapon to shoot at a car occupied by two 23-year-old men, also from Perrysburg and also intoxicated. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m.
Ryan Mohawk, the driver of the vehicle, died, and the passenger of the vehicle, Caleb Stafford, was injured. Thomas then allegedly shot and killed himself.
There was a shelter-in-place and a weapon was recovered from the scene.
