TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — An investigation into alleged sexually motivated interactions involving a child resulted in the arrest of Raceland man.

The investigation began on July 30, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, after Special Victim's Unit detectives learned of inappropriate messages being sent to a 13-year-old.

The investigation revealed, 23-year-old Markiano Michael Robichaux was originally hired by the victim's family as a music teacher for a child.

Deputies said that's when Robichaux met the victim and began to send them "sexually motivated messages" on several social media platforms. The victim's parents found the messages and alerted authorities.
