A 34-year-old Californian has been sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment for trafficking 11 pounds of methamphetamine in Oregon.

Banuelos was the target of a drug trafficking investigation by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team. He was arrested on February 28, 2021, while en-route from California to deliver the methamphetamine to an Oregon customer in Prineville.

Trafficker Admitted Transporting Drugs for Distribution in Oregon on Seven Occasions

Officers seized two boxes with more than 11 pounds of methamphetamine during a search of Banuelos’ vehicle. During questioning by investigators, Banuelos admitted transporting drugs for distribution in Oregon on about seven occasions.
