KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - The Kansas City, Kansas mayoral race has narrowed to two following Tuesday’s primary election.

Rose Mulvany Henry and Christal Watson advanced to the general election with 100% of the votes reported.

Mulvany Henry is a member of the Board of Public Utilities and a telecommunications lawyer. She said she wants to bring a “different flavor” to the next administration with her business expertise.

Her top priority is economic development.

“We all understand how high our property taxes are,” she said. “We have a density problem. We don’t have enough households and businesses in Wyandotte County and KCK to spread our costs across all of them.“
