Police say an Alberta man living in Montreal has been charged after allegedly making online threats against the Trudeau airport and other “key infrastructure” locations in Quebec.

The RCMP’s Federal Policing Eastern Region alleges the 38-year-old posted threatening comments on his X account, counselling attacks on the airport, the Port of Montreal, Hydro-Québec control centres and various transportation networks.

An RCMP spokesperson tells CityNews the accused was “giving out the flaws about the infrastructures” through the X posts.

Officers with the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team arrested the man Friday and seized electronic equipment “following a short investigation.”
