SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Four suspects were arrested and four illegal firearms were seized by Springfield officers after being called to a fight involving a gun.

The Springfield Police Department issued a news release on Wednesday stating that officers were called at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, to the 500 block of Worthington Street for a reported gun incident. Police received information that there was a fight, and two suspects had guns.

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspects who matched their description near the intersection of Taylor Street and Fairbanks Place in a vehicle. Officers detained four people who were in the vehicle during the investigation.
