LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Hillsdale Hospital has launched a new advocacy campaign, Rural Health Strong, to promote rural health and "encourage the nation to take action toward preserving it."

Hillsdale Hospital leaders report that the campaign was formed in response to Medicaid cuts, as well as other ongoing regulatory changes and program cancellations.

The hospital says these cuts are resulting in job losses and the closure of rural hospitals.

“We have to come together and lift our voices,” said Hillsdale Hospital President and CEO Jeremiah J. Hodshire in a news release sent to 6 News.
