SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The City of Winters has issued an apology to water customers and provided updates after a citywide water outage prompted a boil water notice that is expected to last multiple days.

What happened?

The City of Winters' initial report came through a social media post published at 8:54 a.m. on Aug. 5, in which it said that "customers west of Main Street to the city limits may experience little to no water pressure" due to a valve repair. The City said it would provide updates when the valve was repaired.

The City then issued a water service outage advisory at 1:37 p.m., stating that water customers across the city would "have little to no pressure" due to the valve repairs. Then, in a statement posted at 2:35 p.m., it reported that water service
