The first of two preseason polls for the upcoming college football season was unveiled this week, and Michigan was smack-dab in the middle.
The Wolverines debuted at No. 14 in the US LBM coaches’ poll, the fifth-highest Big Ten in a ranking among coaches.
What’s that mean for 2025?
“Given what they brought in, the expectation is that they are going to be better than last year,” MLive’s Aaron McMann said on the latest episode of the “Wolverine Confidential” podcast. “It makes sense.”
Michigan finished last season unranked, the product of a 5-5 start that saw the Wolverines flip the script late, rattling off a three-game win streak that included victories over Ohio State and Alabama.
