Titans head coach Brian Callahan doesn’t plan to change a lot in his approach to preseason games this year.
But one of his alterations will impact the quarterback position.
Callahan said Wednesday his plan is to play rookie Cam Ward — along with the team’s other starters — in all three preseason contests, against Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Minnesota.
That would be a different approach from the one taken in 2024, when former starting quarterback Will Levis and the starting offense played in just two of the three contests, skipping the second preseason game.
“Our starters are going to play … in all three preseason games,” Callahan said, one day before the Titans will practice at Tampa Bay, in a preview of Saturday’s preseason opener between the teams.
