PORTLAND, Maine — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed the Kennebec Savings Bank on Baxter Boulevard late Wednesday morning in Portland.

Officers responded to the bank at 53 Baxter Blvd. at approximately 11:15 a.m. after employees reported that a man had entered the bank and stolen an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a release from the Portland Police Department. No weapon was seen during the robbery, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a white man with brown hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, navy blue jeans, a blue Carhart baseball cap, a blue neck gaiter, sunglasses, blue latex gloves, and light brown boots. After the robbery, the suspect fled toward Baxter Boulevard and the nearby Pedro Little League Field, the release states.
