CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Deputies are investigating the area of Catawba River Bridge after finding a dead body in the water, according to the Chester County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reported the body was found around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Catawba River on Chester Highway. Deputies are working with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office and the Chester County Swiftwater Rescue team for recovery efforts.

The body has yet to be identified, and it's unclear how it got there or how they died.
