CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Information is requested in finding the person responsible for hitting and killing a man on Sunday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Around 4:45 a.m. on August 3, troopers arrived at a crash on Zion Road near NC-49 in Cabarrus County. Officials say a pedestrian, 39-year-old Uriel Nava Hesiquio, was struck by a vehicle. Hesiquio died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Anyone who may have been involved in the crash or who may have seen something in the area between 3 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. is asked to contact the State Highway Patrol at 704-855-1047.
