MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly hit a 29-year-old with a car in Lower Manhattan on June 2.

The incident happened around East 4th Street and Avenue D at around 11:26 p.m.

Police say a dark-colored Volkswagen sedan made a U-turn and intentionally hit the victim. The car then drove away, heading south on Avenue D.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
