DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers rookie right-hander Troy Melton finally made his bullpen debut Tuesday night, throwing two scoreless innings against the Minnesota Twins.

He might have gotten a third inning if not for a lengthy delay when home plate umpire Chad Fairchild exited in the seventh inning after taking a foul tip off the mask.
