BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Two people were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly being in possession of ghost guns and engaging in narcotics sales, according to the McFarland Police Department.

McFarland police officers assisted the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations Special Services Unit in serving a search warrant in the 800 block of Fletcher Street in McFarland at around 7 a.m., according to officials.

During the search of the home, officials allegedly found suspected fentanyl indicating narcotics sales activity, as well as several illegally owned firearms.

These weapons lacked serial numbers, meaning they are referred to as “ghost guns” and banned under California law, police said.
