BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Bakersfield man was indicted Thursday on being a felon in possession of explosives, ammunition and manufacturing methamphetamine, according to the Department of Justice.
Officials with the department said Matthew Henry Jacober, 43, of Bakersfield possessed and improperly stored 50 pounds of dynamite and 25 rounds of shotgun shells. At that time, he was in the process of manufacturing crystal methamphetamine.
Jacober was previously convicted for making a destructive device without a permit, which is a felony.
If Jacober is convicted of the drug offense, he faces a mandatory minimum prison term of five years and a maximum term of 40 years with a $5 million fine, officials said.
