RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Several Confederate artifacts remade into tools of education are heading across the country as a part of a new exhibit.
The Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virginia (BHMVA) announced the loan to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The upcoming exhibit, called MONUMENTS, wants to reexamine the everchanging legacy of American history by bringing together a collection of objects related to “Lost Cause” Confederate statues.
The exhibition will feature 15 decommissioned monuments from all around the U.S. including Baltimore, Boston, Montgomery, Pittsburg and New Orleans.
