ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) -- Search efforts continue for a man who escaped the St. Petersburg Community Center three days ago, according to Florida Department of Corrections authorities.
According to the FDC, Jamie L. Jenks, 33, escaped from the facility at approximately 2:10 a.m. Aug. 3.
St. Petersburg Police officers responded to an escaped prisoner call shortly after 2 p.m.
Officers and K9 units searched the area but were unable to locate him. The agency did issue a BOLO (be on the lookout) alert for his arrest.
Florida Department of Corrections records show Jenks is currently serving a two-year sentence for several counts of petit theft on a third conviction.
Jenks served a previous two-year and one month sentence in Feb. 2021 for two counts of grand theft of property totaling $
