Chicago police have opened a death investigation after a 63-year-old man was pulled from Belmont Harbor in the Lakeview neighborhood Wednesday morning, officials said.

The police Marine Unit recovered a man from the water near the 3500 block of North Belmont Harbor Drive, and he was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.

The victim has yet to be identified, and detectives were conducting a death investigation pending an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.
