FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel ended up bloodied Wednesday while breaking up a scuffle during a joint practice with the Washington Commanders.

There were a few scuffles between the two teams during the portion of practice that the media wasn't allowed to record.

At one point, Vrabel jumped into a scrum of players and emerged with blood on his face.

Patriots players said they appreciated the intensity shown by the coach.
