VINCENNES, Ind. (WFIE) - The man accused of killing a woman Tuesday afternoon in Vincennes was in court Wednesday afternoon.
32-year-old Dylan Smith was ordered to remain in jail without bond.
He’ll get a public defender.
Police say Smith shot 30-year-old Taylor Hendershot in a liquor store parking lot on North 6 th Street.
They say he left in an SUV, which was found crashed a block away from the murder scene.
Police say Smith was found armed with a knife inside a nearby home.
Officers say he was arrested after a several hour standoff.
Smith’s next hearing date is set for October 9.
