MANCHESTER, N.H. —

An outreach group will be allowed to continue its work on a mural in Manchester after the city told it to stop painting because of a new approval process.

The mural is by Positive Street Art, a group that helps at-risk communities in New Hampshire.

"Acknowledging that there are perfectly viable, civically engaged individuals that need to be utilized to create the future for the state is something that we're working on every single day," said Yasamin Safarzadeh, program director for Positive Street Art.

The group's newest project is a mural painted by children and disabled adults.

"We're not inside on our phones or wasting time," said Effie Ntongo, of Manchester.
