NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been arrested after he allegedly raped a 14-year-old.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 22-year-old Tyler Kidder was reportedly walking with the teenager along Church Street Sunday. The girl approached bystanders and told them Kidder had raped her in a parking garage earlier that day.
Officials said the bystanders called police. Kidder walked off, but was later found in an alley downtown.
The teen was medically examined, and the results were "consistent with recent intercourse," according to the MNPD.
Kidder was charged with vandalism after allegedly firing a gun into a Goodlettsville business. He was booked for that charge on Sunday and, as of publication, he remains in custody.
Authorities filed a rape warrant for Kidder's arrest
