COMPTON – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday in Compton.

The fatality was reported at 4:30 a.m. at South Santa Fe Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was pronounced dead at 4:43 a.m., a CHP officer said.

No other details about the victim or the crash itself were immediately available.
