LOS ANGELES – Police are investigating a fatal wrong-way, hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in West Los Angeles.

A vehicle traveling south in northbound lanes of Bundy Drive, south of Pico Boulevard, struck a man as he stood in the roadway along the curb at about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene in the 2400 block of South Bundy, a department spokeswoman said.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene, police said. No description of the vehicle or the driver was provided.

A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps solve a fatal hit and run.
