(NewsNation) — Yanin Campos, a famous TikTok personality, died in a car crash in Mexico last weekend, according to People.com.

Campos, 38, was driving in the city of Chihuahua when she collided with a parked vehicle, according to the Mexican Secretariat of Public Security.

Campos' brother, Raul, confirmed her passing on Facebook.

“To family and friends. We inform and mourn the death of my sister Yanin Campos," he said in part of a post.

Campos gained notoriety following her 2018 appearance on "MasterChef México," where she placed sixth for her culinary expertise. She also appeared on "MasterChef México: La Revancha." After her television stints, Campos transitioned to posting lifestyle content on her social media pages.

Campos had amassed more than 100,000 followers on TikTok.
