A woman accused of treating more than 4,000 patients at a Florida hospital while posing as a nurse has been arrested, officials announced Wednesday.
Autumn Bardisa , 29, was arrested on 14 felony counts, seven of practicing a health care profession without a license and seven counts of fraudulent use of personal identification, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Bardisa, who claimed to be a registered nurse, was hired by AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway in July of 2023, police said. When she applied for the job, she indicated she was an “education first” registered nurse, meaning she had finished nursing school but hadn’t yet passed the national licensing exam.
