BOSSIER PARISH (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bossier Chamber of Commerce successfully organized a supply drive and a New Teacher Welcome event, supporting local education and welcoming nearly 150 new teachers to Bossier Parish Schools.

The initiative kicked off on July 31, 2025, with the annual "Pack the Bus" supply drive held outside Walmart on Airline Drive.

The Chamber called upon local businesses and community members to donate school supplies and monetary contributions, resulting in a record number of items collected this year with over a dozen businesses participating.

The Chamber prepared goodie bags filled with encouragement, supplies, and discounts to greet new teachers as they start their teaching careers.
