LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. ( WTOC /Gray News) - The man accused of shooting five soldiers at Fort Stewart was out on bond at the time of Wednesday’s shooting, court records show.

Sgt. Quornelius Radford is suspected of shooting five other soldiers on the Fort Stewart army installation on Wednesday.

According to Brigade General John Lubas, the commander of the 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart, Radford is a logistics sergeant and shot five of his coworkers.

Brigade General Lubas added at a news conference Wednesday afternoon that Radford used a personal handgun, not a military weapon.
