Teen dies days after crash in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A teen has died days after a single-vehicle crash near South Nogales Highway and Drexel in Tucson.

The Tucson Police Department said Santiago Mateo Guzman, 19, passed away from his injuries from an accident on Aug. 3.

The TPD said Guzman was driving when he lost control and hit a light pole. The TPD said a 14-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries.

The TPD said Guzman was not impaired and both he and the other teen were wearing seatbelts.

The TPD said speeding is a known factor in the accident.
