MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The question remains, will Willis ISD's Calfee Middle School get water in time for the start of school? At the moment, that's still unclear, but the City of Conroe said it will host a special city council meeting on Saturday to discuss this situation.
It is exactly one week until Calfee Middle School is supposed to open its doors for the first time to students on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
According to the City of Conroe, it cannot provide utility service to a commercial tract outside of city limits, unless there's a developer agreement. The city says that agreement has not happened, so it had to shut off water to the school.
Contrary to that, the district released a statement saying it has worked relentlessly with city officials to get necessary approvals
