The United States is auctioning off a $325 million luxury superyacht seized from Russia. This marks the first sale of a seized Russian superyacht since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The auction is set to close on September 10. President Donald Trump has been working to increase pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine.

The U.S. government has stated it is collaborating with allies to put pressure on Russian oligarchs. Some of these oligarchs, who are close to Putin, have had their superyachts seized in efforts to compel him to stop the war.
