GRANDVIEW, Mo. — One person was injured after a stairway collapsed on the outside of an apartment complex in Grandview Wednesday afternoon.

The Grandview Fire Department responded to the collapse just after 3:30 p.m. at the Fairways At Grand Summit Apartments, just north of E. 155th Street.

Grandview Fire Chief Rodney Baldwin told FOX4 that one person was injured in the collapse and taken to a local hospital. The extent of that person's injuries is unknown at this time.

No other injuries have been reported.
