BLOOMFIELD, Conn. — A Bloomfield man pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court on Wednesday to drug and gun offenses.
Twenty-nine-year-old Brandon Tyson could go to prison for up to 50 years, according to a release from the Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Court documents and statements show Tyson was previously convicted of state felonies for drug and assault offenses. It is illegal for a previously convicted felony offender to possess a gun or ammunition, according to prosecutors.
An investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that in May 2021, Tyson illegally had a Glock 20, 9mm pistol.
Investigators added that between May 2023 and March 2024, Tyson conspired to deal cocaine and fentanyl.
