LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - One middle school administrator in Laredo is receiving statewide recognition after being nominated by her peers.

George Washington Middle School’s Assistant Principal, Lennifer Blanco, has been honored as Region One’s Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.

Blanco explains that this recognition came about after an annual conference where principals from across the state nominated their regional colleagues for this prestigious honor.
