TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls Fire Department is looking to attract new recruits, and wants to make sure they are prepared for anything they’ll encounter on the job.

They make that work with their training facility. Chief Mitchell Brooks explained the 10,000 square foot training facility offers a variety of scenarios to keep firefighters’ skills sharp, and train new recruits

“We can do a Class A or B burn, so a B Burn we can kind of acclimate them to some fire and then we build them up to the Class A which gets a lot of smoke and heat,” Chief Mitchell said.

Some of the other scenarios also include finding people in smoke filled buildings and even car extrications. Other local fire departments, police, and EMS also use the facility for training too/
