Stockton recently paid $50,000 in public money to prevent a comedy show that Vice Mayor Jason Lee performed in from being canceled, according to multiple reports.

Stockton’s interim City Manager Steve Colangelo announced that his office has launched an internal investigation into the use of the funds.
