Metro Vancouverites may hear some booming in the heavens on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and Thursday.

Environment Canada is calling for the possibility of thunderstorms starting early Wednesday evening with some showers and winds up to 30 km/h persisting throughout the night into Thursday.

Meteorologist Brian Proctor told V.I.A. on Tuesday that the Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes a mix of showery, cooler weather this week, as an unsettled pattern with a broad trough arrived over Vancouver Island and the Central Coast.

Early morning thunderstorms are possible on Thursday along with showers, according to Environment Canada's latest forecast.
