PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A rally to oppose upcoming cuts to RIPTA service was held Wednesday at Kennedy Plaza.
The Rhode Island transit riders, the Kennedy Plaza Resilience Coalition, and the Save RIPTA Coalition said they were demanding Gov. Dan McKee allocate an additional $10 million to maintain existing service levels in Kennedy Plaza.
The cuts would change or eliminate 58 of RIPTA’s 63 bus routes.
