HOUSTON – A ground stop has been issued for United Airlines flight departures at airports across the country, including Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport .
United Airlines says the ground stop is due to a “technology issue” and the company is holding all United mainline flights at their departure airports.

“We expect additional flight delays this evening as we work through this issue,” United said in a statement.
According to the FAA , Denver, Newark, San Francisco, and Chicago are also among the airports affected.
