SIU begins demolition of old Greek Row

CARBONDALE — More than a decade after the last students vacated the dormitories on old Greek Row, the buildings, long past their useful lives, are finally coming down.

Southern Illinois University leadership was on hand along with many alumni and community members to witness the first step in demolishing a series of around a dozen buildings on campus.
