COBDEN — A beloved Southern Illinois tradition is set to return this weekend, as the Cobden Peach Festival brings two days of hometown celebration to Union County.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, at Cobden Community Park on Locust Street. Hosted each year by the Cobden Lions Club, the event features carnival rides, family games, peach cobbler, a raffle, queen contest and the popular “Spin & Win” peach giveaway.
