BELLEFONTE (WTAJ) -- There was no "sophomore slump" in Tony Confer's second season at the helm of Bellefonte. The Raiders went from 2-9 to 7-5 and a trip to the District VI championship. • 2024 Record: 7-5

"Our kids just kind of decided that they were tired of losing," Confer said. "And, the senior group we had last year, those guys really worked together and were great leaders for the team and pushed the program in the direction that we ended up going last year."

That senior class, led by guys like Liam Halterman, Jaeden Gabrovski, and Noah Weaver, led the team to a Curtain Bowl win, its best record since 2019. But its graduation leaves a lot of holes in the Raiders' lineup, most notably at quarterback. Those are holes that Confer said could be filled by freshmen. • Key Losses: Liam
