MANHATTAN, New York (WABC) -- "Hamilton" celebrated its 10th anniversary on Broadway Wednesday, having opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Aug. 6, 2015.

The celebration saw a performance for fans at 1 p.m., Wednesday, before an invite-only anniversary performance at 7 p.m.

The evening performance served as a fundraiser for the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition. It is expected to raise nearly $3 million for the coalition of nonprofits providing immigration services, named for a popular line in "Hamilton."
